Meet A Mom- Meet Cindy Breckheimer! | Shoreline Moms

We are so thrilled to introduce you to this incredible Shoreline Mom, Cindy Breckheimer!  Cindy is a busy momma to 2 precious little girls and owns a thriving real estate business serving the Shoreline and beyond.  She’s funny, so much fun, knows all the BEST gluten free spots on the shoreline, and incredibly hardworking.  We knew we had to share her with our community because, well, she’s THAT awesome!  We loved connecting with this fabulous lady!

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived on the Shoreline?

I am originally from Bristol, Connecticut and my husband, Kurt, grew up in Madison.  Our first home together was in Stratford, CT. In 2016, we moved to Madison and I fell in love with Connecticut all over again. My husband and I love living on the Shoreline. It’s a great place to raise a family.  Along with our two daughters and our boxer, we’ve made Madison our home!

Do you have any children? What are their ages?

Yes! We have two girls, Peyton (age 4) and Livy (age 5).  I am so happy to have two little girls! I grew up with two brothers and was due for some girls in my life!!

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I am the broker/owner of Forever Homes Real Estate, a residential real estate brokerage serving the shoreline community.  I first began my real estate career in 2011 with a big name broker. After a few years I found I wanted a better way for my real estate business to reflect my values to clients. In 2014, I earned my broker’s license, and Forever Homes Real Estate was born.   It is truly my passion to work with clients to help them buy or sell a home! I customize each situation to best serve my clients and pride myself in making you feel like you are my only client and a top priority! As a former educator, I want to make sure clients understand the process and always continue to educate myself on current market trends and successful marketing.  I have earned designations as an ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), SRS (Seller Representative Specialist), and am Epro certified (Online Marketing Professional).  Everything real estate related, I have you covered! I will be your partner every step of the way and aim to make your experience positive and as stress free as possible!

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

I came into real estate as a second career and was a high school Health teacher for 12 years in Stamford, CT!  I loved teaching and have brought many of those important skills into my real estate business: patience, understanding, mediating and negotiating, and educating clients through the process! I’ve actually had two past clients get their real estate licence and come work with me! My love of real estate is contagious!

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

They say to find your tribe and keep them close! I am so lucky to have found so many warm and inviting friends since moving to the Shoreline.  I’ve met many great mom friends through my daughters’ schools and activities. I also helped start a meetup mom group as soon as I moved here! We still get together almost monthly! And of course, my mother-in-law, Heidi, who I am so lucky to have close by. Truly the best mother-in-law a girl could ask for!

Favorite things to do with your kids on the Shoreline?

We love walks at Hammonassett, all of Madison’s beaches, visiting local farms (especially Lakeside Farm’s family Fridays), all the local libraries, cookouts or ordering pizza to be delivered at the Surf Club, and time with our friends!

What’s one helpful piece of “mom advice” you can share with our Shoreline moms?

Be yourself, share your struggles, find great supportive mom friends and make time to get together on a regular basis!  Mom nights are a must!!  My favorite mom’s night is Ballou’s Wine Bar in Guilford!  Wine flights, cheese platters and chocolate fondue! They are also a great choice if you have Celiac and have been very accommodating!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

I love living on the Shoreline! I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, a place where many come to vacation and we get to enjoy it every day.  There is such a great sense of community and everyone is so welcoming! My girls love their schools and all the friends they have made. When you love a place so much it is easy to connect to it, to build a community, and to own a business!  We could not have picked a better place to raise our family!
